Hi all,

1st ship i joined was Temple bar as 2nd lecki with Steve Hill in Bahrain. Think we sailed to aussie where Steve paid off and left me in charge.big memory was Capt Frazer playing the pipes , marching from wing to wing, only in port though and getting some weird looks from the locals..
found some pics of myself on Rob Abercrombies pis on the Inchcape.what a brill ship and crew ,brings back all sorts of mems
all the best to you all

Great site. Lots of good memories & some not so good. Thanks to Colin ( Admiral ) Williamson for the Cape Ortegal pics, do you remember the Penny Post and the flaming strawberrys. Alison and I are 33yrs this year. To Billy Budd I was giving you more power, the deck always wanted more speed. Life after SSM : I am how Senior Inspector ( Boilers & Pressure Equipment ) with WorkSafe WA (like the HSE in UK). Anyone passing through Perth or Freo can call 0418900110. Regards to all Iain R.

I was a galley boy on the cape grenville for one trip i think in 1976, we went to Melbourne,
Freemantle and port pirrie which was memorable because it was port pirie's centenary. On that trip were two ladies who worked in catering one by the name of donna weisman and i have often wondered if she served long in the company or left after that trip.Anyway it was a really good time.

Can anyone help me? Due to a recent fire I lost all photos of my father and am trying to find some again. He was William (Bill) Moore, and was with SSM and it's predecessors for all his career. Hoping someone has some photos of him. Only thing I have found so far is a ships crewlist with him sited as chief engineer.
